Gold Coast Balloon Ride

by Putri Anindya

“Don’t cross this line,” said the guy named Tim that morning. The operators were preparing for the ride above Gold Coast, Australia. The sun’s up and we’re ready to go.

Hot air balloon in Gold Coast is one of the adventures that I took in Australia. It’s pretty different activity since most of tourist attraction are centered on the Gold Coast beach area. This one took tourist to see the beauty of Gold Coast hinterland.

The fog covered the vineyard below me and as soon as the sun shining, it opened up and I could see the green scenery of Gold Coast. Sometimes the balloon ride low, and I heard dogs barking and saw the shadow of the balloons followed us.

The wind took the balloon higher and closer to the city. The skyline looked shining because of the sun’s reflection on the ocean. It was such a pretty sight.

In the end the most beautiful thing about hot air balloon ride was the serene feeling because it was so quiet. My imagination goes wild up there.
